"meditation wine" is a term coined by the great guru of journalism enoic Italian, Luigi Veronelli, who wanted so ennobling a category of products too often snubbed by the great public, especially in our country. These are called dessert wines or sweet wines in general, although they may fall under this new designation, the great reds lengthy aging. But what is meant exactly by that sentence? The meaning can be ambiguous: on the one hand we consider the approach to the wine consumer, which requires an attitude of calm and reflection, as well as a lot of respect for its settlement of all "special" when compared to the average of existing products. Or, less prosaically, meditation can be considered from the view of the winemaker, who has to think long and hard before embarking on a very profitable manufacturing process, full of unknowns, which can eventually provide a high quality product, but only after spent long years of maturation and aging, which is not always automatically guarantee a good result.
